What does an editor do?
Editors provide helpful information, resources, and tools related to gaming, tech, movies, and more. For example, if you are a diligent Xbox 360 gamer covering the new DLC hitting the market, you could cover this latest DLC by showing our viewers where to find statistics and video, etc. But even more important, you can add a local perspective others can’t. Where’s the best place to buy the game? Where can you find more coverage? Which console should I purchase this game on? You could also add in the article, for example, “Please check out the DigitalGU Youtube channel for all your latest gaming trailers” in order to promote all facets of the site. How much time does being an editor require?

On average, an active and successful editor spends 4-6 hours a week creating and publishing their content on D-GU.com, responding to comments from readers, and investing in social marketing. You can use a numerous amount of ways, such as checking your favorite daily news site. You can copy the post that someone else has written but  please include the source. What happens once I fill out the application?
Once you click the submit button on your application, it goes to the manager of the content channel you select. They will review your application, looking closely at grammar and spelling, your voice and tone, experience, etc. Every application is read so please answer all of the questions as completely as possible. This will help us fairly and accurately evaluate your qualifications to be an editor.

If the channel manager thinks you would be an asset to the team, a member of our staff will contact you via email with further information. Be sure to provide us with the best email contact information! Should you join us, be prepared to submit three items within a few days:

A photo of yourself for your page.
A brief biographical statement of up to 35 words.
We do not check credit history or contact former employers.
