In the land of the rising sun, it’s become more clear what system is steadily gaining support. Although, the Xbox 360n was the lead development console for Bayonetta, the PS3’s version sold 95k on launch day compared to the 360’s 45k.
I can’t help but wonder…
Where is all of this Japanese support Microsoft was touting?
Do they honestly expect the Japanese market to fall into their hands by putting out a small hand full of games to appease them?
Regardless, it’s obvious that there (still) isn’t very much love for the Xbox in the Japanese market. And although it may be dominated by Nintendo for now, it’s obvious which “Next Gen” console is dominate over there. (Sorry Wii, you are last gen. You’re nothing more than a supped up Game Cube on steroids, with a motion controller. Your fad will end soon.)
On a similar note, Last months Hardware sales indicate that the PS3 beat out both the 360 and Wii in Japan for the past couple of months in Japan alone. September alone, the PS3 sold almost 500k consoles. I can’t wait to see what the sales figures look like for October when they are released.
