So, as most of you know by now that IISanitariumII, the owner of this site, (and my future husband!) is a diehard PS3 fan. His love for this console is so deep that he gives intense sermons during Uno games on Xbox Live about how amazing the PS3 is. He is devoted to turning out each and every member of the Xbox Live community, which is one of the few reasons he even still owns an Xbox 360. It’s funny because a long time ago, I used to be more for the 360 than the PS3. However, these days, things have changed. Being realistic about the capabilities of this console has really changed my mind and my preference of gaming consoles.
Since the announcement of the price drop to $299, as well as a hardware revision, Sony is very proud of the success of the Playstation 3. It took Playstation and PS2 three and four years to achieve what the PS3 has in two and a half years. These advancements have allowed for a newer, more sleek Playstation 3, the Slim version, which will be available on September 1st.
SCEA President and CEO Jack Tretton has said that Sony is very proud of how far the PS3 has come, even though it’s still in its infancy stage and has a long way to go. Tretton states, “If you look at how far PlayStation 3 has come in terms of features, in terms of the great games that have been offered and to understand that’s being done at half the original price with a 120GB harddrive being built in, with a new slimmer lighter form factor…It’s staggering to think how far this has come in less than three years – and to envision how far it will go before this system is over and done with.”
We will just have to wait and see what is in store for the promising future of the PS3; a console that has already turned so many heads because of its outstanding potential. With that being said, I must end this with one statement that will make IISanitariumII very proud:
TREY FOR LIFE!!
