Fortune hunter Nathan Drake returns in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, a third-person action-adventure/shooter created by award-winning developer Naughty Dog. Down on his luck, Drake is lured back into the treacherous world of thieves and mercenary treasure-seekers he had sought to leave behind. When a mysterious artifact propels Drake on an expedition to find the legendary Himalayan valley of Shambhala, he finds himself embroiled in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse against a fugitive war criminal who’s after more than just the fabled riches of the lost city. Caught in a web of deception and plunged into an increasingly deadly pursuit that tests the limits of his endurance, Drake will be forced to risk everything – but has his luck finally run out?

Wow, is all I can say. I didn’t want it to end. This game has defined the word video game and has turned it into something far more fetching and appealing. From the first time I got to play the private multiplayer demo, I knew right then and there that we were in for a real treat. Before we get any further, let me stop myself and speak on the cinematical cut-scenes that were shown in this game. I must admit, after the first 5 chapters in the game, I  began to envision a movie instead of a mere video game.

This game has put any future titles that I might even dare think of purchasing on a very low wishlist. Could any other future game titles even dare approach Naughty Dog’s masterpiece? This game won me over from the voice acting, that yes had been done in Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, but even better in the sequel. How you might ask? Well let me explain. Naughty Dog’s Evan Wells made a brief statement at E3 2009 about how this particular game has pushed the Playstation console to new heights. In that statement he was pertaining to the fact that this game has one of the most compelling cinematical experiences this generation. Uncharted 2 has become one of my favorite games this year.

Yes, I am eagerly waiting on MW2. But, as a good friend has stated before “an awesome single player stays in your disk drive.” That is very true with this amazing title. As Nathan Drake, the hero in this story, climbs trains to save his very own life or to scour mountain tops just to prevail against his arch enemies you will be amazed and enticed by this awesome 3rd person shooter. Was this game repetitive? To some yes but to most no. The reason why I say that is because history buffs such as Editor and Chief Tavion Long from Psthreemafia.com stated “this is challenging and yet fun.”  I agreed 1 00% on that fact mainly because I was entranced by the beauty of a statue, or a virtual female companion such as Chloe Frazer that added more fun and humor to the game as well. I give this game a 10 out of 10
